Theme & surfaces
Colour, type and section backgrounds are tokens you set once. Change them and every block re-skins. Below, the same Callout block on each of the five surfaces.
Standard — the default paper background most blocks sit on.
Tinted — a soft, brand-derived background for gentle separation.
Accent band — a brand-coloured band for a strong section break.
Dark — text turns light, cards lift, accents stay vivid. Driven by the dark-section tokens.
Gradient — a slate gradient backdrop, great behind a tall hero.
Eyebrow style
The small uppercase label above each heading — the eyebrow — is a single theme setting with three options: a dash, a bullet, or a bold no-marker treatment. This site uses the bullet (look just above this heading). Change it once and every eyebrow on the site follows.
Fonts
Headings and body type are theme tokens too — pick a curated stack or upload your own font. This site is set in Futura, uploaded through the CMS. The display and body faces can differ, and custom fonts are preloaded to avoid a flash on load.
Any block can go dark
This grid sits on the dark surface. Notice the light text, the raised cards, and the accent colour that stays vivid — all from the dark-section tokens.
Light text
Body and headings switch to the light dark-section ink token.
Raised cards
Cards lift off the dark background instead of bordering against it.
Vivid accents
The brand and highlight colours stay punchy on dark.
Compose your own
Every section across these pages was one block, themed by these tokens. That's the whole engine.
